Privacy Policy for The CreditCard Collection
This page explains how Choose.Creditcard and the wider CreditCard Collection (including privacy.creditcard, terms.creditcard, policies.creditcard and related structural domains) handle personal data, cookies and analytics. The sites are operated by ronarn AS, Norway.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The controller for the processing of personal data in connection with Choose.Creditcard and the supporting structural domains is:
ronarn AS
Norway
Email: support@ronarn.com
This policy is intended to meet requirements under the GDPR (EU/EEA), and similar privacy regulations such as CCPA/CPRA (California) where applicable.
2. What data we collect (and what we do not collect)
The CreditCard Collection is designed to operate with minimal personal data. We do not offer user accounts, logins or comment systems, and we do not ask you to upload documents or identity information.
We may process the following categories of data when you visit our sites:
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type and operating system.
- Usage data such as pages visited, time spent, clicks on outbound affiliate links and referrer URL.
- Approximate location (country / region) derived from your IP address.
This information is primarily collected through Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and standard web server logs.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Our sites use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Analytics cookies – set by Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregated traffic patterns and help improve site performance.
- Affiliate tracking – when you click an outbound product or card link, our affiliate partners may set their own tracking cookies to attribute commissions correctly.
We do not use cookies to build individual marketing profiles and we do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Legal basis and purposes of processing
Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases for processing your personal data:
- Legitimate interests – to operate secure, reliable websites, to understand aggregated usage and to detect abuse or technical issues.
- Consent – where required by local law for analytics or affiliate tracking cookies, consent may be collected via your browser or affiliate partner interfaces.
We use the data to:
- Measure which comparison pages are most useful to visitors.
- Monitor traffic quality and detect bots or abusive behavior.
- Improve content layout, navigation and performance over time.
5. Data storage and retention
We store server logs for a limited period of time that is necessary to ensure security and stability. Google Analytics 4 retains event data according to our configured retention periods, typically 14–26 months, after which data is automatically deleted or aggregated.
We do not maintain long-term identifiable profiles of individual visitors within our own systems.
6. International data transfers
Our analytics and hosting providers may process data in countries outside the EEA. Where data is transferred to third countries, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (where applicable) or equivalent mechanisms offered by our service providers.
7. Your rights
If you are located in the EU/EEA or a region with similar privacy rights, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we process about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of personal data where there is no legal basis for retention.
- Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent.
To exercise your rights, contact us at support@ronarn.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, for example the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you are based in Norway.
8. Third-party links and affiliates
Choose.Creditcard and related domains contain outbound links to third-party websites, including banks, credit card issuers and affiliate partners. These sites have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal data.
9. Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements or technical setup. The updated version will always be published on https://privacy.creditcard/ with a revised “last updated” date.
